The laboratory principally engaged in the quality and safety testing techniques and risk assessment  researches on vegetables, fruits, edible fungi and their products, advanced technologies on plant new  varieties testing, relevant standards development, revision and validation, also the morphology, quality  and safety testing for new varieties and agricultural products. More than 60 agricultural industry standards  have been established, 5 books and more than 80 research papers have been published.
