第十届国际茄科植物生物学大会邀请函

        茄科植物是最重要的蔬菜作物。作为茄科植物的代表，番茄是日常生活的重要蔬菜，也是植物学研究的经典模式系统。2012年，国际茄科基因组计划（The International Solanaceae Genome Project, SOL）历经8年多的艰苦努力，完成了对栽培番茄全基因组的精细序列分析，这项成果于2012年5月31日以封面文章发表在国际权威学术期刊《自然(Nature)》。中国科学家高质量地完成了番茄基因组测序总任务的1/6，标志着我国是番茄基因组学研究的强国之一。番茄基因组的解读是科学家通过国际合作完成的又一个高质量的模式植物的基因组序列分析。这项工作将极大推动番茄乃至包括马铃薯、辣椒、茄子等在内的茄科植物的功能基因组研究，为培育具有高产、优质、抗病虫害、抗逆等优良性状的茄科作物新品种打下了良好的基础。                            

      “第十届国际茄科植物生物学大会：基因组和表型组”将于2013年10月13-17日在北京友谊宾馆召开。茄科模式植物番茄以及马铃薯基因组序列的解读为基础和应用研究中建立“表现型”和“基因型”之间的必然联系提供了有力的工具。本次大会将为从事茄科植物基础和应用研究的世界知名专家、年轻学者和青年学生提供相互交流的平台。除大会主题演讲、大会邀请报告外、组委会和专题主持人将从递交的摘要中遴选口头报告，热诚欢迎国内外同行踊跃递交摘要并参加大会。
